Attorney Vernessa Poole is a former Assistant District Attorney with the New York County District Attorney’s Office. She has prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases, including cases of domestic violence animal cruelty, which became her specialization. Attorney Poole served as Legal Counsel for the America Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and provided prosecutorial guidance to the law enforcement agents.
Attorney Poole has also provided project support to a major global financial institution for compliance review and currently consults the office of general counsel for a national medical transportation company and other clients as a general practitioner.
Prior to receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Pace University, Attorney Poole worked at Moody’s Investors Service in both the issuer and investor divisions. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Attorney Poole and her husband divide their time between their home in Westchester County and Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Klee Miller became internationally known in the world of Animation after working with Sony Imageworks as a Motion Capture Integrator for the feature film "Polar Express" where he integrated adult 3D Mocap data onto child character models. He entered the world of teaching in 2005 as a professor at the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona, and then at the Art Institute of Seattle teaching Animation and 3D Modeling. His teaching career and experience spans students of all ages having taught at the high school level and in after-school and summer programs.
Currently, Miller teaches Animation & Rigging at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Arts from Western Washington University and a Master of Arts in Animation from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Dr. Kristine Ramos-Reyes is an international medical doctor who earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center in 2008. After working as an Occupational Physician, she went into a Family Medicine Residency at the Philippine General Hospital from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Ramos-Reyes then worked as a Behavioral Therapist in Ontario, Canada before moving to Chicago, Illinois where she began teaching courses in Anatomy and Physiology for the City College of Chicago.
Currently, Dr. Ramos-Reyes is a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at the Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, IL. During her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys gardening, swimming, cooking, and playing the piano. Dr. Ramos-Reyes dreamed of becoming a doctor since she was 7 years old just like her father who is a cardiologist. She thinks medical school is challenging but very fun and exciting!
Kareem Itani is a Computer Science major attending Brooklyn College, pursuing a career in full-stack web development. He has been working with students of all ages for over four years since serving as a Camp Counselor at the Young Dancers in Repertory where he provided leadership to campers in all areas and acted as a role model while involved in a wide range of camp activities. Currently, he tutors at Brilliant Minds in Brooklyn, New York supporting elementary through college students in math, science, programming, and Spanish.
