Recruitment Specialist

The Learnatory provides engaging, inspiring, and empowering learning experiences for elementary through high school students in-school, after-school, during weekend programs and in summer camps with a focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). We provide interdisciplinary, interactive environments enabling students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills that improve their competitive standing, elevate their marketability, and build their confidence in the ever-changing real-world.

We are looking for a talented, creative multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and upbeat attitudes to work remotely recruiting campers for STEAM Summer Camp 2020. Must be enthusiastic about the impact of STEAM in Education and the myriad of opportunities it affords our young people.

This is a part-time, remote contract position for 20 hours per week from now through June 2020. We then expect the position to convert to a full-time position recruiting schools to conduct our programs and recruiting students for the Saturday and any after-school programs.


  • Understand the sales cycle and use CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Follow-up on leads from parents interested in the programs; close sales for the summer camp
  • Visit schools, attend camp fairs and identify other opportunities to promote The Learnatory Summer Camp, In-School, After-School, and Weekend programs
  • Drive sales growth by expanding the number of students and schools in our programs
  • Use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other Social Media to promote The Learnatory brand
  • Develop email and media campaigns to inform our audience, attract prospects, and identify partnership opportunities
  • Locate or propose potential partnerships by contacting potential partners discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Serve as an educational consultant to parents and school officials identifying their concerns and needs and offering appropriate solutions

Must be available to meet via FaceTime or Google Hangouts frequently. Candidates must be able to develop Social Media content on a professional level, arrange Webinars, and effectively promote The Learnatory brand.

Schedule: Part-time Monday to Friday, Some weekends and evenings may be required to connect with parents and attend Camp Fairs or other events. Opportunity to become full time.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to drive new sales, achieve quotas and increase year to year revenue
  • Familiarity with STEAM education
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably in academic, non-profit or government markets
  • Self-motivated and willing to continuously improve
  • Personable and detail-oriented with strong communication (written and verbal), organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent conversation and presentation skills, with an ability to quickly establish rapport and effectively react in dynamic, customer-facing situations
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communications skills
  • Proven ability to understand and quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of multiple product lines, carefully analyze customer needs and offer effective solutions that meet those needs and create value
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to collaborate within a remote team environment to execute projects
  • Ability to grow into working on complex contract negotiations and proposal development
  • Strong computer and research skills
  • Ability to travel locally in the New York City area as needed

Administrative Assistant

The Learnatory is an innovative S.T.E.A.M.Enrichment Program providing world-class instruction to elementary, middle, and high school students during regular in-school hours, after-school, in weekend programs, and summer camps. Our staff has that “Wow!” factor that excites, motivates, and challenges students to surpass their own expectations.

During the summer, Candidate should be able to assist the Executive Director in setting up and running a fast-paced, high-energy, interactive S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp on a college campus. Summer hours Monday - Friday 8 am - 6 pm.

During the school year, Candidate should be a multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and upbeat attitude working remotely remote 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday.  

Hours Through June 28, 2020

Monday - Friday:  10 am - 2 pm (flexible)

Location:  Remote

Hours June 29 - August 21, 2020 Summer Camp

Monday – Friday: 8 am – 6 pm

  • Track payments for camp and class enrollments
  • Send Invoices for camps and classes
  • Manage student accounts
  • Bookkeeping, invoicing and generating financial reports
  • Prepare payroll
  • Provide weekly AR/AP Reports
  • Provide monthly AR/AP Reports

Administrative (during camp season on-site):

  • Greet and assist visitors.
  • Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.
  • Providing real-time scheduling support by making sure all materials needed by instructors are available in the correct quantities.
  • Answering calls and providing program information
  • Registering students by email and/or phone, when necessary
  • Directing parents to the website for online registrations
  • Recording student classes in database
  • Print and distribute Test Results to parents
  • Monitor and record Teacher, Staff, and Student attendance
  • Arrange social events for staff
  • Screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party.
  • Using computers to generate reports, create presentations, and conduct research.
  • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Keep track of student and teacher attendance.
  • Work with teachers to prepare the Performance Showcase
  • Prepare Invitations and Certificates for Performance Showcase
  • Mark and record diagnostic tests
  • Social Media content posting according to schedule
  • Develop Social Media Content and disperse to platforms
  • Conduct Program Surveys and Evaluations 


  • Check and monitor inventory (laptops, microscopes, chemistry sets, etc.)
  • Open and close classrooms

Job Requirements:

  • Must have completed at least 2 full years of college. Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
