Creating Innovative Solutions to Real Global Issues

Are you an inventor who likes to tackle problems through design?  Do you enjoy learning how and why things work?  At The Learnatory Engineering Immersive, you’ll explore various fields in engineering and decide if engineering is the career for you!

During this 10-day program, you will learn from engineering professionals and meet with successful researchers.  Learning from their experiences, you will take away valuable lessons and insight that will help guide you as you pursue a career in engineering.  

You will:

  • Apply the engineering design process to solve a design challenge.
  • Build, test, and redesign a prototype.
  • Employ teamwork and communication to successfully solve the challenge.

You will also design, build and code a programmable robot, an RC car and a line-following car. 

Sample Challenge:  

You only have 60 minutes to save the city. You will have 40 minutes to design, build, test, and redesign their solution and the class will have 10 minutes to choose the very best class solution and save the city.

Engineering Design Challenges
Compete in different challenges from various fields of engineering including mechanical, civil, biomedical and electrical.

Robotics Simulation
Your main simulation will be a robotics challenge. You will design and build a programmable robot, an RC car and a line-following car.

Meet Engineering Professionals
Throughout the program, you’ll meet engineers who will share their engineering experiences with you. 

Leadership Development

At the heart of each of our youth leadership programs is a curriculum designed to build concrete leadership skills that will help you succeed. Interactive lectures and small-group workshops will give you an opportunity to build upon your strengths and minimize your weaknesses.
